Hominy Pico de Gallo

Fiesta is here with this vibrant Hominy Pico de Gallo! It’s a refreshing twist on the classic salsa, swapping out some of the usual suspects for plump Juanita’s Hominy, juicy tomatoes, crisp onions, and a kick of jalapeño (or serrano pepper) come together for a delicious and addictive condiment. Puro fuego!


  • 3 cups Juanita’s Mexican Style Hominy or Juanita’s White Hominy, rinsed and drained
  • 4 tomatoes, diced (seeded)
  • ½ cup white onion, chopped
  • 2/3 cup cilantro, finely chopped
  • 1 jalapeño or serrano pepper, finely chopped
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Olive oil and salt (to taste)


  1.  Rinse and drain Juanita’s Hominy thoroughly.
  2. In a bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, onion, cilantro, and chopped jalapeño or serrano pepper. Mix well.
  3. Squeeze the lime juice over the mixture.
  4. Add olive oil and season with salt to taste.
  5. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly until well combined.
