ABOUT THIS RECIPE:
A Mexican classic that is made for everyone: atole.
If you’re a fan of this drink, you can’t miss out on the opportunity to try this champurrado. Using Juanita’s Hominy in this recipe will have all your friends asking for a sip or even a cup.
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 can (25 oz.) of Juanita’s Mexican Style Hominy or Juanita’s White Hominy, washed and drained
- 2 lt. water
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 piloncillo (cone-shaped brown sugar)
- 2 chocolate tablets
- ½ lt. milk
STEP BY STEP:
- Bring the water to a boil with the cinnamon stick, piloncillo, and chocolate tablets.
- Blend the washed and drained can of Juanita’s Hominy with the milk.
- Add the mixture to the boiling water and stir for 15 minutes until it boils.
- Cook over low heat until the desired consistency is achieved.
- Set aside, let it cool down, and enjoy!
