Cilantro Lime Hominy

This Cilantro Lime Hominy botana is a vibrant side dish packed with bright lime juice and fragrant cilantro, full of sabor fresco! It’s the perfect accompaniment to any meal con la familia!


  • 4 cups of Juanita’s Mexican Style Hominy or Juanita’s White Hominy, drained and rinsed
  • 4 celery stalks, chopped
  • 1/2 onion, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 3 tbsp. freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1 bunch of cilantro


  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the olive oil.
  2. Once the oil is heated through, add the onions, celery, and garlic. Cook until they become slightly soft and translucent, but not mushy.
  3.  Add the Hominy, salt, and pepper, and heat through.
  4. Remove from the heat, then add lime juice, and sprinkle with cilantro. Serve.
